Dancing Bear
Wypler’s best weapon is his athleticism. Ohio State weaponized their run game by having Him pull as the lead blocker as often as possible. He climbs the second level quickly and seals defenders off with ease leading to big rush lanes for his backs. He was tasked with calling out protections and as a pass protector always keeps his feet moving and pushing defenders away from his QB.
Wypler has short arms and his issues against defenders with length appear throughout his tape. At the next level he will likely need to be protected from those types of defenders.
Wypler is tailor made for a Zone scheme and as a rookie has the talent to get on the field and become a good center within his first 2 seasons.
