SUMMARY

Derick Hall is an impressive rusher out of the SEC. Hall had 6.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, an interception, and 2 forced fumbles in 2022. He also had a 17.1% pass rush win rate according to PFF.

Hall is a prototypical EDGE physically. At the combine he was measured at 6'3" and 254 pounds. He has long 34.5-inch arms and he showed off his explosiveness with a 4.55 second forty with a 1.59 10-yard split.

As a run defender, Hall has some struggles with stronger OTs. He can get driven off the line and also has issues disengaging in time to get in on plays. Hall can set a nice edge from time to time but needs to learn how to use his length more effectively and not get too caught up in the 1-on-1 fight.

As a pass rusher, Hall shines. He's got some bend-ability on his outside rushes, ducking underneath tackles and ripping through. Hall also some decent inside counters and even can throw in a bull or a really powerful long-arm. Hall's variety of moves bodes well for his NFL potential. Adding his technical acumen to his physical tools, with some NFL coaching, should produce a dangerous pass rusher at the next level.
